Offline Branding Activity Creates Great Value for HDFC Bank’s Niche Offering
The Challenge
Saying that banking products are tough to sell is an obvious understatement and that too when it comes to niche products such as NRI services, the level of difficulty is even higher. However, HDFC Bank limited wanted us to achieve precisely that. Their NRI Services had to make an impact and it had to be all about a wide web of offline campaign that would generate leads – a challenge we accepted wholeheartedly.
The Approach
We began by crafting the right message that would resonate with the intended target in collaboration with the bank first. Once that was ready, it was all about conveying the message such that it makes a lasting impact on the people who view it. We crafted a comprehensive outdoor advertising plan. We leveraged our huge vendor network and expert personnel to execute it. All major eye-catching spots such as buses, bus shelters, cabs (interior and exterior) and even auto rickshaws were used to put up banners that demanded attention. Brand guidelines were adhered to the fullest to ensure a consistent brand voice.
The Results
Within a short span of time, leads started pouring in. HDFC Bank Limited was now seeing an uptick in sales and a huge jump in the leads. Thanks to the offline campaign, the niche offering had made an impact on the minds of people. The top-of-the-mind recall of the offering was pushing people to prefer the NRI services of the bank over the competitors’ offering. Our campaign strategy was much appreciated by the client.
